How hard is it to cancel Zoom?

Zoom scores 73/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app, phone, email.

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Zoom subscriptions can be canceled online via the web portal (Plans and Billing > Manage > Cancel Plan), through the Google Play or Apple App Store if billed there, or by contacting support via phone or email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with continued access to paid features until that date. All charges are explicitly non-refundable once processed per Zoom's Terms of Service, with no proration for mid-term cancellations; a legal cooling-off right-of-withdrawal may apply where required by law. If the 'Cancel Plan' option is absent in the portal, the user must contact their Account Executive or Zoom Sales to complete cancellation.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
