Self-serve where you're billed: Google billing at youtube.com -> profile -> Purchases and memberships -> Manage membership; Apple-billed via your Apple account; Google Play-billed in Play settings. Pause billing up to 6 months (not available for Apple-billed members). No refund for the unused remainder after you cancel.

How to cancel YouTube Premium

  • Channels: online (self-serve), in-app
  • Official cancellation page: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6308278
  • Pause/freeze: available, Pause billing for up to 6 months (keeps your settings/preferences), but pause/resume is NOT available if you're billed through Apple.
  • Account/data deletion: Cancelling does not delete your Google/YouTube account, watch history, or playlists; account/data deletion is separate via Google account settings (export first with Takeout).
