How hard is it to cancel Xfinity Mobile?

Last reviewed 2026-06-16 · Documented-Policy tier · grade A

Xfinity Mobile has no annual contract; device payment plans can be paid off early without penalty. To leave while keeping a number you port out: in the Xfinity Mobile account/app go to Devices > select the line > 'Transfer your number, cancel this line', verify via a one-time passcode, and a transfer PIN is texted to you valid for 24 hours. Porting automatically cancels the line once complete, so do not cancel before activating with the new carrier or the transfer stops and the number is lost. If you cancel all Xfinity services the remaining device balance becomes due on the final bill, but you can keep monthly device payments if you keep at least one other Xfinity service. PIN can alternatively be obtained at an Xfinity Retail Store.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
