How hard is it to cancel Viu?
Viu scores 85/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the HK, among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), app-store.
Viu Premium subscribers can cancel at any time from the 'My Subscription' / 'Subscriptions' page in the My Account menu of the app or website; premium access then continues until the end of the current monthly/weekly/daily billing period and the account reverts to the free tier. Memberships auto-renew and VUCLIP is authorised to charge the next period's fee unless cancelled before renewal. Viu does not refund partial-month periods or unwatched content, but offers a limited refund window: a user may claim a refund within 12 hours of purchase provided no paid content has been played, processed case-by-case within 2-45 days. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled via that platform. Account deletion is handled through a dedicated Help Centre self-service article.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
