Verizon Fios customers can disconnect online through the My Verizon Account Dashboard ('Disconnect Service'), via chat, or by phone at 1-800-VERIZON, Mon-Fri 8 AM-7 PM ET and Sat 8 AM-5 PM ET; online self-disconnect is available only to Fios-only customers, while those with other home services must call. Customers under a term contract pay a prorated early termination fee capped at $350 that decreases $15 per month. Rented equipment (router, set-top boxes; the ONT and battery backup stay in the home) must be returned within 30 days of disconnection or unreturned-equipment charges apply, returned via a UPS Store. Credit balances are returned within up to 60 days.
