Vattenfall Germany lets consumers cancel (Kuendigung) electricity or gas contracts online via the 'Mein Vattenfall' account under 'Meine Vertraege', through the customer form, by post (Vattenfall Europe Sales GmbH, 11511 Berlin), or by phone. Notice periods depend on the contract: typically one month to the end of a 12-month term, with extraordinary terminations capped at a maximum four weeks since 01.03.2022. Contracts concluded by letter, phone, or online carry a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (Widerruf) with no reason required, exercised formlessly to [email protected] or by post; if the consumer was not properly informed of the withdrawal right the period extends to one year and 14 days. After a confirmed withdrawal the supplier may not demand further payment. No early-termination fee for ordinary cancellation within notice.
