How hard is it to cancel upGrad?

upGrad scores 63/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the IN — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via email.

Last reviewed 2026-06-16 · Documented-Policy tier · grade C

upGrad cancellation follows each program's specific refund policy rather than a self-serve toggle, with requests handled through support/the Academic Committee. Before a cohort starts, learners can claim a refund less a processing fee, and refund eligibility ends once a request is raised more than three weeks after the Cohort Commencement Date. Approved refunds are processed within 30 working days. If a refund is granted on a loan-financed enrollment, the learner is responsible for any loan-cancellation charges.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
