How hard is it to cancel Typeform?

Typeform scores 78/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Typeform subscriptions are cancelled online via the in-account Plan & Billing page by selecting the Free plan and confirming — no phone or email required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current prepaid billing period (monthly or annual), so access to paid features continues until that date. Typeform issues no refunds for early cancellation; there is no proration. No pause or freeze option exists; the only path to reducing cost is downgrading to the Free plan.

How to cancel Typeform

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060804271-Cancel-your-Typeform-plan
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. Typeform does not offer a subscription pause or freeze option. The recommended alternative is to downgrade to the Free plan, which takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • Account/data deletion: Account holders can delete their account self-serve from the My Account page. Deletion removes all typeforms, workspaces, responses, and activity log data, and Typeform anonymizes or removes data from third-party systems. Deletion is irreversible. Invoices are retained as required by law. https://help.typeform.com/hc/en-us/articles/360029631211-Right-to-be-forgotten

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
