How hard is it to cancel Trend Micro?
Trend Micro scores 75/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app, phone.
Trend Micro subscriptions purchased from the official online store can be cancelled online via account.trendmicro.com (Licenses tab → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription), through the relevant app store (Apple/Google/Microsoft) for in-app purchases, or via phone for Best Buy/ISP purchases. Cancellation stops auto-renewal immediately but service remains active through the current paid term, there is no pro-rated credit for unused time. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies only to direct online-store purchases, with refunds processed within 5-7 business days minus shipping; retail, app-store, and Best Buy purchases must follow those partners' own refund flows. No pause/freeze feature exists, and no notice period is required before cancelling.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
