How hard is it to cancel Tonal?
Tonal scores 67/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), phone, in-app.
Tonal requires a 12-month initial membership commitment; cancellation (and pause) are only available after that term ends. After the commitment period, memberships renew month-to-month and can be cancelled online via the Tonal account dashboard or Subscription Manager (mybilling.tonal.com), through the Tonal device menu, or by calling 855-MY-TONAL; notice must be given at least 24 hours before the next renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and all membership fees are explicitly non-refundable and non-cancellable per the Terms of Service. Members who financed via Affirm before July 6, 2021 cannot cancel membership separately as it is bundled with their loan payments.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
