How hard is it to cancel Three Ireland?

Three Ireland scores 56/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the IE — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via phone, email, postal mail, in person, online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade C

To cancel a Bill Pay contract, customers must contact Three directly — by phone (1913), webchat, email ([email protected]), post, or in store — as there is no self-service cancel button in My3. Outside the minimum term, 30 days' notice is required with no cancellation fee; inside the minimum term an Early Termination Fee applies equal to the basic monthly fee multiplied by the remaining months. Customers who purchased remotely have a 14-day cooling-off right (EU/Irish distance-selling law) with full reimbursement within 14 days of notifying Three. Any overpayment at the close of the final bill is refunded automatically to the original payment method within 21 days.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
