AA breakdown cover can be cancelled online via your account or by phone (0343 316 4444). All members get a 14-day cooling-off period from purchase to cancel without penalty. After cooling-off, continuous monthly/quarterly members must give a minimum of 30 days' notice (payments falling due in that window are still payable); quarterly payers get a pro-rata refund of unexpired cover while monthly payers get no refund. Annual cover gets no refund if cancelled after the 14-day cooling-off period. Cover auto-renews unless you opt out; a renewal notice with new pricing is sent at least 45 days ahead (monthly) or before the end of the first year (annual).

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
