T-Mobile postpaid service can only be cancelled by calling customer service (dial 611 or 1-877-746-0909) or visiting a retail store; no online or in-app cancellation exists for postpaid accounts. Cancellations are future-dated and take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, meaning customers are charged through the end of that cycle. There are no early termination fees, but any outstanding device payment plan balances become due on the final bill. Signal booster equipment must be returned or a non-return fee of up to $400 applies.

- Account/data deletion: T-Mobile allows all US customers (not just California residents) to submit a personal data deletion request via their Privacy Center. Requests are processed within 45 days, but T-Mobile retains data required for legal obligations, security, or ongoing business purposes.
