How hard is it to cancel SurveyMonkey (Momentive)?
SurveyMonkey (Momentive) scores 86/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).
Cancellation is fully self-service online: in My Account under the Billing Details tab, users turn off Auto-renew to prevent the next charge. Paid access continues until the end of the current billing cycle, after which the account downgrades to the free Basic plan. SurveyMonkey does not automatically refund remaining time on cancellation or deletion, except where legally required. EU consumers have a separate 14-day cancellation/reimbursement right under a dedicated EU policy. Account deletion is self-service and permanent, disabling the account immediately and removing all data within 90 days.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
