Supabase scores 83/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Supabase subscriptions are cancelled fully self-serve by navigating to Organization Billing Settings, selecting 'Change subscription plan', and downgrading to the Free Plan — effective immediately. No refunds are issued to the original payment method; instead, credits for unused prepaid subscription time are applied to future invoices and do not expire. For enterprise/contract customers, either party must give 30 days written notice before the current term expires to prevent auto-renewal. AWS Marketplace subscribers can get a refund if they cancel within 48 hours of purchase via a support ticket.

How to cancel Supabase

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://supabase.com/docs/guides/platform/manage-your-subscription
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No account-level pause or freeze option. Individual projects can be paused to stop compute charges, but the subscription itself cannot be paused.
  • Account/data deletion: Free Plan runs indefinitely unless the organization is deleted via organization settings. Upon termination, customers must cease use and delete all copies of Supabase IP. No explicit data retention/deletion timeline for customer data is stated in public docs. https://supabase.com/terms

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
