How hard is it to cancel Stripe Atlas?
Stripe Atlas scores 68/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.
Stripe Atlas has two cancellable components. (1) The recurring registered agent subscription ($100/yr): cancel self-serve in the Stripe Dashboard at dashboard.stripe.com/atlas/company. You must provide at least 30 days' advance notice before the renewal date; no refund is issued for any prepaid fees. If you cancel without dissolving your company, you must independently appoint a new Delaware registered agent to keep the company in good standing. (2) The one-time $500 incorporation fee: non-cancellable once you have signed the formation documents, Stripe cannot reverse a completed incorporation. Full company dissolution requires a third-party legal service (Elevate ~$549, Legalinc ~$99, or SimpleClosure). Email support is available at [email protected].

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
