How hard is it to cancel Straight Talk?
Straight Talk scores 96/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), phone.
Straight Talk is no-contract prepaid with no early-termination fee and can be cancelled any time. Cancelling within the first 30 days gives a full refund to the original payment method; after 30 days a prorated refund for unused days. To port out you use the Number Transfer PIN Straight Talk provides plus account info; once the number transfers, the service deactivates immediately and any unused Service Days are lost. Separately, starting a new plan cycle forfeits any unused minutes, data, or Service Days with no refund or credit.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
