How hard is it to cancel Starz?

Starz scores 80/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app.

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Direct Starz subscribers can cancel online anytime via Settings > Cancel Subscription on starz.com or the app; subscribers through third-party platforms (Amazon, Google, Roku, etc.) must cancel through that distributor. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period with no advance notice required. Starz does not provide credits, refunds, or prorated billing for cancelled subscriptions unless required by applicable law. A subscription pause option is available through Settings with no charge during the pause, but content access is suspended.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
