How hard is it to cancel Sprout Social?
Sprout Social scores 75/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.
Sprout Social subscribers on monthly or annual in-app billing can cancel self-serve via Settings > Billing & Plan > Deactivate; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription term. Invoice-based or annual plans with monthly payments require written notice at least 30 days before the term end. No refunds or credits are issued for prepaid unused fees upon cancellation; the sole exception is a prorated refund if Sprout Social itself commits a material breach it fails to cure within 30 days. Account data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account termination.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
