How hard is it to cancel Spark NZ?
Spark NZ scores 68/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the NZ — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via phone, online (self-serve), email.
Customers can cancel by messaging Spark's support team online or calling 0800 300 015 (Mon–Fri 8am–8pm, Sat 9am–6pm); there is no fully self-serve one-click cancellation. A standard 30-day notice period applies from the date of notification, during which the customer continues to pay; immediate disconnection is possible but triggers a notice period fee equivalent to 30 days of service at a daily rate. Early termination fees apply if cancelling a fixed-term contract before it ends. Credit balances at account closure are refunded within 7–10 working days to the original payment method upon request.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
