Sky Deutschland subscribers can cancel online via 'Mein Konto' (cancellation button in account area, though the OLG München ruled in March 2025 it was deliberately hidden), by phone (089 997 279 00, Mon-Sun 8-22h), via email to [email protected], live chat, or by postal letter to Sky Deutschland, 22033 Hamburg. The standard notice period is 1 month before the end of the contract term for contracts signed from 1 July 2020 onward (2 months for older contracts); after the minimum term the subscription renews monthly and can be cancelled with 1 month's notice. No proration or partial refund is offered on regular cancellations; a 14-day statutory withdrawal right (Widerrufsrecht) applies to new contracts. Equipment (receiver, smartcard) must be returned within 14 days of contract end using a prepaid return label provided by Sky.

  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No general pause or freeze option exists. Sky allows partial cancellation of individual add-on packages, but the core subscription cannot be suspended. Reactivating after a full cancellation incurs a €29 fee.
  • Account/data deletion: Customers may invoke their GDPR right to erasure by contacting Sky's data protection team at [email protected] or in writing to Sky Deutschland Fernsehen GmbH & Co.
