How hard is it to cancel SiteGround?
SiteGround scores 86/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).
SiteGround hosting plans are cancelled entirely online via the Client Area (Services > Hosting > Settings > Cancel menu). Users choose between immediate cancellation (account suspended right away) or cancellation upon expiration (suspended 24 hours after plan expires). Initial shared hosting orders carry a 30-day money-back guarantee; cloud hosting carries 14 days; renewal refunds are available within 30 days of payment if the renewal term has not yet started, or a partial refund if it has started (minus the first month's fee). Domain registration fees are non-refundable.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
