Members can cancel at any time in-person at the Member Services Desk at any club, or by calling 1-888-746-7726; online self-serve cancellation through the account portal is available but does not qualify for a refund. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current membership year unless a refund is requested under the 100% Membership Satisfaction Guarantee. The Satisfaction Guarantee provides a full refund of the current-year membership fee (limited to one cancellation or downgrade refund per household per year), paid back to the original payment method or as a Sam's eGift Card. Auto-renewal can be turned off online, in-club, or by phone, which is distinct from cancellation.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
