Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current membership year unless a refund is requested under the 100% Membership Satisfaction Guarantee. The Satisfaction Guarantee provides a full refund of the current-year membership fee (limited to one cancellation or downgrade refund per household per year), paid back to the original payment method or as a Sam's eGift Card. Auto-renewal can be turned off online, in-club, or by phone, which is distinct from cancellation.
