Rive subscriptions can be cancelled at any time via the account settings at rive.app/account by navigating to Manage Workspace and clicking Cancel Plan, which routes through Stripe for confirmation. Access continues through the end of the current billing period, after which the workspace reverts to the free plan. No refunds are issued for unused portions of a paid billing period. Once a pending cancellation is set, other account changes are locked until the period ends; users must email [email protected] to remove the pending cancellation if they change their mind.

How to cancel Rive

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://rive.app/docs/account-admin/account-overview/cancel-my-account
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No subscription pause option is documented. Once cancellation is initiated, the workspace downgrades to a free plan at the end of the billing period. To reverse a pending cancellation, users must contact [email protected].
  • Account/data deletion: Account and data are deleted approximately 90 days after account cancellation. Users must first delete all owned workspaces (cancelling any paid plans) before deleting their account. Contributions to other users' workspaces and forked Marketplace content are retained. Encrypted backups and cached references may persist beyond the 90-day window. https://rive.app/docs/account-admin/account-overview/delete-my-account

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
