How hard is it to cancel Resend?

Resend scores 82/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Self-serve cancel exists in-account: go to the Billing page (resend.com/settings/billing), click the three dots next to your plan, and select 'Cancel Subscription'. You can also upgrade or downgrade from the same page, or cancel by contacting customer support per the Terms of Service ('through your online account management page or by contacting Plus Five Five, Inc. customer support team'). Subscriptions are billed in advance and auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled; the Terms do not explicitly state an 'effective at end of period' cancellation date, though that is the implied behavior of cancelling auto-renewal. Refunds: 'Except when required by law, paid Subscription fees are non-refundable' — no proration or partial-quota refunds once emails are sent. No pause/freeze option. No mobile app-store billing involved (web/SaaS billing only).

How to cancel Resend

  • Channels: online (self-serve), email
  • Official cancellation page: https://resend.com/docs/dashboard/settings/billing
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is documented. The billing docs only describe upgrade, downgrade, and cancel actions from the Billing page; no plan-freeze or account-pause feature is offered.
  • Account/data deletion: Account/data deletion is request-based, not self-serve. Per the Privacy Policy, GDPR (EU/EEA) and CCPA (California) users may request access, update, or deletion of personal data by emailing [email protected]; Resend states it will delete the personal information it holds as of the date of the request. Data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes in the policy and as legally required. https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
