How hard is it to cancel RescueTime?
RescueTime scores 80/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.
RescueTime subscriptions can be cancelled anytime without penalty via Account Settings > Billing > 'Cancel your subscription' on the website (uninstalling the app does not cancel). Access continues until the end of the current billing period, then the account reverts to the free Lite plan. A 60-day full refund is offered on first-time paid plan purchases only (not renewals); refund requests must be submitted by email or chat to support. The Terms of Service explicitly state that fees accrued before cancellation are otherwise non-refundable.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
