How hard is it to cancel REI Co-op?

REI Co-op membership is a one-time $30 lifetime fee, not a recurring subscription. Membership is explicitly non-refundable and non-returnable once purchased. Members who wish to opt out can do so by calling 1-800-426-4840 or visiting an REI store in person; no online self-serve cancellation is available. Requesting deletion of personal data via [email protected] will also terminate membership participation per program terms.
