Rakuten Mobile (Rakuten Saikyo Plan) cancellations must be completed online via the 'my Rakuten Mobile' web portal or smartphone app — there is no phone or in-person cancellation channel for the current plan. Cancellation takes effect on the date of the application with no advance notice required; charges are calculated based on actual data usage up to the cancellation date, not on a daily pro-rata basis, and the final bill arrives the following month. From April 1, 2025, customers who cancel within one year of service activation are charged an early termination fee of up to ¥1,078 (tax included). Rakuten Link data is deleted immediately; Rakuten Mail is retained for 31 days then purged.

  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is offered for Rakuten Mobile lines. Cancellation is permanent and cannot be reversed.
  • Account/data deletion: Rakuten Link app call history and messages are deleted immediately upon cancellation. Rakuten Mail (楽メール) data is retained for 31 days post-cancellation, after which it is deleted.
