How hard is it to cancel Railway?
Railway scores 70/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).
Railway subscriptions are cancelled online via Billing page (Active Plan → Cancel Plan); no phone, mail, or in-person channel exists. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — the plan stays active until then. Refunds are at Railway's sole discretion, available only to new customers who have not previously received a refund and whose invoice contains no resource-usage charges; the refund button appears in Billing History if eligible, and processing takes 5–10 business days. No pause or account-freeze feature is offered; resource-usage charges incurred before cancellation are still invoiced after the subscription ends.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
