How hard is it to cancel PureGym?

PureGym scores 76/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the UK — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app, email.

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

PureGym monthly members can cancel online via the Members' Area (website or app) or by emailing member services; cancellation must be submitted at least 4 working days before the next payment date, and the membership remains active until the day before that payment date. A 14-day cooling-off period applies from contract creation, with a full refund minus any usage fees if the member has already started. Fixed-term memberships (6, 9, or 12 months) cannot be cancelled early for free — early termination results in a refund of 50% of the pro-rata fees for the remaining term. There is no refund for rolling monthly memberships cancelled outside the cooling-off window; day passes are non-refundable.

How to cancel PureGym

  • Channels: online (self-serve), in-app, email
  • Official cancellation page: https://www.puregym.com/membership-terms-conditions/
  • Pause/freeze: available — Members can freeze their monthly membership either free of charge or at a cost depending on membership type. Details are provided in the joining email. Freezing locks in current price and waives the rejoining fee.
  • Account/data deletion: Account and data deletion is available via the PureGym app (Account tab > View Personal Details > Delete Account). The process takes up to 10 working days to remove all data. You cannot create a new account with the same details during this period. https://www.puregym.com/delete-account/

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
