How hard is it to cancel PocketGuard?
PocketGuard scores 74/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via in-app, online (self-serve).
PocketGuard Plus can be cancelled through the mobile app (sidebar → Billing → Modify subscription) or the web app (Settings → Customer Portal). Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the next renewal date; access to premium features continues until the period ends. Subscribers who cancel within 14 calendar days of purchase may request a pro-rata refund of amounts paid directly; no refunds are issued after that window. Cancelling a subscription does not delete account data — users must separately delete their profile via the app.
How to cancel PocketGuard
- Channels: in-app, online (self-serve)
- Official cancellation page: https://pocketguard.com/help/how-to-purchase-change-or-cancel-your-plus-subscription/
- Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is mentioned in PocketGuard's official documentation.
- Account/data deletion: Cancelling a subscription does not delete account data. Users must separately delete their profile via the app sidebar → Billing → 'Delete my PocketGuard household'. Deletion removes all personal data and settings but does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. https://pocketguard.com/help/how-to-delete-a-profile-from-pocketguard/

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
