How hard is it to cancel PocketGuard?
PocketGuard scores 74/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via in-app, online (self-serve).
PocketGuard Plus can be cancelled through the mobile app (sidebar → Billing → Modify subscription) or the web app (Settings → Customer Portal). Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the next renewal date; access to premium features continues until the period ends. Subscribers who cancel within 14 calendar days of purchase may request a pro-rata refund of amounts paid directly; no refunds are issued after that window. Cancelling a subscription does not delete account data, users must separately delete their profile via the app.

- Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is mentioned in PocketGuard's official documentation.
- Account/data deletion: Cancelling a subscription does not delete account data. Users must separately delete their profile via the app sidebar → Billing → 'Delete my PocketGuard household'. Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
