Plus Fitness scores 88/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the AU — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-16 · Documented-Policy tier · grade A

Plus Fitness requires all cancellations to be made through its Online Portal (clause 7.1) with at least 28 days advance notice, regardless of membership type (some states may allow shorter). Periodic memberships have no lock-in beyond the 28-day notice, while fixed-term instalment plans incur a Cancellation Fee plus any outstanding amounts if cancelled early. A 7-day cooling-off period (before 5pm on the 7th day after the join date) gives a refund excluding non-refundable Activation and Administration fees, and must also be done via the Online Portal. Suspensions are available, paid for standard 1-12 week holds or free for medical holds of up to 3 months per year with a certificate.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
