How hard is it to cancel Patreon?
Patreon scores 79/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app.
Patrons can cancel a paid membership online via the website (Manage memberships > Edit > Cancel) or through the mobile app (creator page > three-dot menu > Your membership > Cancel membership). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, access is retained until then and no further charges are made. Patreon does not offer automatic refunds; patrons may request a refund within 60 days of a charge through their Billing History, but approval is not guaranteed. Annual memberships are explicitly non-refundable except under extraordinary circumstances at Patreon's discretion.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
