How hard is it to cancel Pairs?

Pairs scores 81/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the JP — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app.

Last reviewed 2026-06-16 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Pairs (operated by Eure Inc., Japan) lets paid members cancel by stopping auto-renewal, with the path depending on the payment method: Apple ID purchases are cancelled through iOS subscription settings, credit-card purchases through the Pairs web/app cancellation flow. Cancellation must be completed by 24 hours before the next renewal date to avoid the next charge. For credit-card subscribers, cancelling immediately stops auto-renewal but the paid service remains usable until the expiry date. The help center stresses that leaving Pairs or uninstalling the app does NOT stop a subscription. No documented refund of the remaining period and no pause option are described.

How to cancel Pairs

  • Channels: online (self-serve), in-app
  • Official cancellation page: https://support.pairs.lv/hc/ja/articles/115007253928
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. Pairs documents no subscription pause or freeze; you remain billed until you stop auto-renewal, after which you become a free member at the next renewal date.
  • Account/data deletion: Account withdrawal is separate from cancelling a paid plan: paid members must first stop auto-renewal, and uninstalling the app does not stop billing. https://support.pairs.lv/hc/ja/categories/34530636551193

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
