Optimum requires customers to cancel by phone (or in person at a store); there is no online self-serve cancellation for residential internet, TV, or phone services. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, payments are nonrefundable and there is no proration for partial billing periods. If canceling before the end of a promotional term, an early cancellation fee plus all outstanding charges applies. Equipment must be promptly returned after cancellation or customers are charged per-device fees.

  • Pause/freeze: available, Customers can temporarily suspend service for up to six months by calling Optimum customer service, paying a reduced monthly fee during the suspension period.
