Self-serve online: accounts.nintendo.com -> your membership -> turn off automatic renewal (do it at least 48h before expiry), or via the eShop; service continues to the term's end. No refunds for remaining time per the NSO terms (eShop purchases carry a 14-day statutory right to cancel).

How to cancel Nintendo Switch Online

  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause. Turn off automatic renewal (at least 48h before expiry); service continues to the term's end, then lapses.
  • Account/data deletion: Cancelling doesn't delete your Nintendo Account; NSO benefits (online play, the classic-games library) end when the membership lapses, and cloud save data is kept for about 180 days after expiry before it can be deleted. Account/data deletion is a separate privacy request via Nintendo.
