How hard is it to cancel Niconico?
Niconico scores 71/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the JP — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app.
Niconico Premium can be cancelled online via the account settings page (multi-step, requires login) or through the respective carrier/platform portal for users paying via Apple ID, Google Play, docomo, au, SoftBank, Y!Mobile, or PayPal. For credit card and most direct billing methods, cancellation takes effect immediately and premium benefits are lost at that moment with no proration or refund; for Apple/Google payments, service continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are offered. A pause feature (1–3 months, no charge during pause) is available for select payment methods as an alternative to cancellation.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
