How hard is it to cancel MWEB?
MWEB scores 53/100 (grade D) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the ZA — a poorly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), phone, email.
MWEB customers on month-to-month agreements must give one calendar month's written notice to cancel, while fixed-term customers for residential services may cancel on expiry or with at least 20 business days' written notice before the fixed-term end. Cancellation can be initiated via the online My Account portal, by emailing [email protected], or by calling customer support; a R999 termination fee applies to all Fibre cancellations. A 5-business-day cooling-off right applies to direct or electronic transactions per South African Consumer Protection Act provisions. No credits are issued for downtime on Vuma Reach Fibre, and no explicit refund policy is published for standard cancellations.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
