Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Mubi subscriptions can be cancelled online at any time via the Subscription section in account settings, or through the originating platform (Apple App Store, Google Play, Roku). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access through the paid cycle with no immediate cut-off. Payments are explicitly non-refundable and no proration credits are issued for partial periods. A pause option (1 or 3 months) is available but activates only after the current renewal period ends.

How to cancel Mubi

  • Channels: online (self-serve), in-app
  • Official cancellation page: https://help.mubi.com/article/68-how-do-i-cancel-my-subscription-if-i-purchased-it-online-through-the-web
  • Pause/freeze: available — Mubi allows pausing a subscription for either 1 or 3 months via subscription settings; the pause takes effect after the current billing period ends and the subscription auto-resumes when the pause expires.
  • Account/data deletion: Mubi's Terms of Service state that upon account deletion the company may, but is not obligated to, delete associated content and data. No self-serve account/data-deletion page is surfaced in the help center; users would need to contact support or consult the Privacy Policy for GDPR/CCPA deletion requests. https://mubi.com/en/privacy_policy

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
