How hard is it to cancel Mozilla VPN?

Mozilla VPN scores 83/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), in-app.

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Mozilla VPN can be cancelled online via accounts.firefox.com (Settings > Paid Subscriptions > Cancel Subscription) or through the VPN app (Settings > Account > Manage Subscription) — both are fully self-serve. Cancellation disables auto-renewal immediately and access continues until the end of the current billing period with no advance notice required. Mozilla offers a one-time 30-day money-back guarantee for subscriptions purchased directly through Mozilla's website; no proration is provided after 30 days, and app store purchases (Apple/Google) are subject to those stores' refund terms. Cancelling a subscription does not delete the Mozilla account; account and data deletion must be initiated separately.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
