Movistar Mexico customers can request line cancellation via phone (*611 or 800 888 8366), WhatsApp, the movistar.com.mx website, the Mi Movistar app, or in person at a Movistar store; identity verification (full name, address, date of birth, RFC) is required regardless of channel. For postpaid contracts without a mandatory term, only accrued service charges are due; contracts with a fixed term (plazo forzoso) also incur an early-termination penalty and any remaining device balance. No voluntary service pause or freeze is offered to consumer subscribers.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending).
