How hard is it to cancel Movistar Chile?

Movistar Chile scores 61/100 (grade C) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the CL — a partially documented cancellation policy with notable gaps. Cancellation is available via phone, in person, online (self-serve), in-app.

Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade C

Movistar Chile customers can request contract termination by calling 600 600 3000, visiting a branch in person, or initiating the process via the Sucursal Virtual online portal or Mi Movistar app (though online initiation routes through a chat agent rather than a fully self-serve flow). Only the account holder (titular) can request cancellation, and the company must action the termination within one business day of confirming feasibility. A final proportional bill is issued for charges incurred up to the termination date; any outstanding equipment financing installments continue to be billed monthly after cancellation. No free-standing service pause or freeze option is documented.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
