How hard is it to cancel Monzo Premium?
Monzo Premium scores 86/100 (grade A) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the GB — among the most clearly documented cancellation policies we've scored. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve), email.
To cancel Monzo Premium, open the Premium tab in the app, tap settings at the bottom, and select the cancel option; cancellation takes effect immediately. Refund treatment is timing-based: within the 14-day cooling-off period non-metal customers get their first monthly fee refunded (metal-card customers pay a £50 fee), within 6 months non-metal customers are refunded for remaining days of the month, and after 6 months all cancellations are free with a pro-rata refund for remaining days. Cancelling removes all benefits (interest, insurance, custom categories) and disables virtual cards. Monzo no longer sells Premium, so you cannot resubscribe once cancelled, though you can switch to Extra/Perks/Max. Data may be requested for deletion but is retained 10 years after closure.

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
