How hard is it to cancel Monzo?

Closure is immediate; Monzo emails a PDF statement with full transaction history. Phone (0800 088 4040) and email ([email protected]) are available for support. Re-opening requires a 30-day wait. Paid plans (Plus, Premium) cancel in-app via the plan tab > Settings > Cancel. Plus: 14-day cooling-off (no fee; £5 if holographic card ordered); within 3-month minimum term a £5 cancellation fee applies; after 3 months no fee; prorated refund for remaining days in cancellation month. Premium: 14-day cooling-off (no fee; £50 if metal card ordered); within 6-month minimum term a £50 fee if metal card was ordered; after 6 months cancellation is free; prorated refund for remaining days. Cancellation of Plus or Premium is permanent, Monzo has stopped selling these plans and you cannot rejoin. No explicit notice period required by the customer; cancellation is immediate. Monzo may cancel plans with at least 2 months' notice. Data deletion after closure: contact [email protected] or call 0800 088 4040; response within one month per UK GDPR.
