Monarch Money subscribers can cancel online via Billing Settings (web only) in a few clicks, or via the respective app store if subscribed through Apple or Google. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — access continues until then. The Terms of Use state subscription fees are generally non-refundable, but a separate Money-back Guarantee help article states Monarch will refund remaining time no-questions-asked if requested; App Store subscriptions must seek refunds directly from Apple. Annual plans auto-renew; subscribers must notify Monarch within 3 days of receiving an auto-renewal notice to prevent the next charge.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
