How hard is it to cancel Miro?
Miro scores 71/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).
Miro subscriptions can be cancelled online via the Admin Console (Settings > Billing > Cancel subscription), and access continues until the end of the current billing period — no mid-term refunds are issued for unused time. The Terms of Service require 90 days' notice for non-renewal to avoid the next billing cycle, or 90 days' notice for termination for convenience (with no refund of pre-paid fees); standard self-serve cancellation stops renewal at period-end without the 90-day notice. Refunds are granted only in narrow cases such as Miro's failure to remedy a service warranty breach within 60 days, IP infringement requiring service shutdown, or Miro-initiated adverse contract changes. After cancellation, boards are locked in view-only mode (not deleted); customer content can be exported within 30 days post-term, after which Miro may delete it.
How to cancel Miro
- Channels: online (self-serve)
- Official cancellation page: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011986179-Cancel-your-Miro-subscription
- Pause/freeze: not offered. Miro does not offer a formal subscription pause. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (boards enter view-only mode); users can reactivate at any time, but there is no freeze/pause mechanism that halts billing mid-term.
- Account/data deletion: Users can delete their profile via Profile Settings > Delete account; a confirmation email link completes the deletion and all associated content is permanently removed immediately. Alternatively, data can be exported within 30 days post-cancellation, after which Miro may delete Customer Content per its standard schedule. GDPR/CCPA erasure requests can be submitted via Miro's support form or by mail to the Privacy Team. https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017571354-How-to-delete-your-profile

Scope & fairness
This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
