How hard is it to cancel Mintlify?

Mintlify scores 52/100 (grade D) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US, a poorly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via email.

Last reviewed 2026-07-20 · Documented-Policy tier · grade D

The Terms of Service govern cancellation through Order Form renewal rather than a self-serve control: a subscription 'shall automatically renew for additional successive periods of equal duration ... unless either party notifies the other party of such party's intention not to renew no later than thirty (30) days prior to the expiration'. No cancellation channel is named on the cited page and no in-product cancel path is documented, so a subscriber must give written notice at least 30 days ahead. Refunds are excluded outright: 'All Fees paid are non-refundable and are not subject to set-off.' Note a discrepancy: a separate Mintlify-hosted policies page states a subscriber may cancel by logging in or contacting Mintlify, effective at the end of the paid term, which conflicts with the 30-day notice in the official legal terms cited here.

How to cancel Mintlify

  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is documented; the options are to remain subscribed or cancel.
  • Account/data deletion: Account deletion is not documented on the cited cancellation/terms page.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights, scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
