How hard is it to cancel McAfee?

Cancel by turning off auto-renewal in My Account (service.mcafee.com -> My Account -> Auto-renewal -> Update settings -> End my membership), or via Subscriptions -> Cancel/Refund. Full refund within 30 days of a new purchase or 60 days of an auto-renewal charge; monthly plans are NOT refundable. Removing saved payment details also stops renewal.

• Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause. Cancelling turns off auto-renewal; you keep protection until the term ends, then it lapses.
• Account/data deletion: Not detailed on the cancellation pages. Turning off auto-renewal or removing saved payment details stops billing but does not delete your account; personal-data deletion is a separate request via McAfee privacy / support (CCPA/GDPR).
