Last reviewed 2026-06-06 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

Luma AI (Dream Machine) subscriptions can be cancelled online via the web dashboard (Profile > Manage Subscription > Stripe portal) or through the iOS App Store. Cancellation stops future billing immediately but access continues until the end of the current billing period, except that cancelling via the help-center flow removes remaining credits immediately. Web refunds (full or partial) may be requested within 30 days of initiation or renewal by emailing [email protected], but only for unused or mostly-unused plans, and a refund triggers immediate subscription termination. No formal pause exists, but downgrading to the free plan is the documented alternative.

How to cancel Luma AI

  • Channels: online (self-serve), in-app, email
  • Official cancellation page: https://lumalabs.ai/learning-hub/payments-subscriptions
  • Pause/freeze: available — No formal pause feature, but Luma explicitly advises users to downgrade to the free plan rather than delete their account if they want to pause — preserving account, content, and history without future charges.
  • Account/data deletion: Account deletion is permanent and self-serve via Account page (red 'Delete Account' button, requires typing 'Delete My Account' to confirm). Removes all videos, prompts, credits, and plan data. Associated email is locked for 30 days post-deletion. Must cancel active subscription before deleting to avoid future charges. https://lumalabs.ai/learning-hub/account-management-web

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
