How hard is it to cancel LinkedIn Learning?

LinkedIn Learning scores 76/100 (grade B) for how clearly it documents cancellation in the US — a clearly documented cancellation policy. Cancellation is available via online (self-serve).

Last reviewed 2026-06-05 · Documented-Policy tier · grade B

LinkedIn Learning subscriptions can only be cancelled online via a desktop browser (not the mobile app) through Settings > Manage Premium account > Cancel subscription; the mobile app does not support billing management. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, so access continues until that date with no prorated refund for unused time. The standard US refund policy is no refunds, with a narrow exception for accounts that cancel within 7 days of charge with zero premium usage. There is no pause or freeze option, and promotional or legacy pricing cannot be restored once cancelled.

How to cancel LinkedIn Learning

  • Channels: online (self-serve)
  • Official cancellation page: https://www.linkedin.com/help/learning/answer/a703768
  • Pause/freeze: not offered. No pause or freeze option is offered; the only alternative is downgrading to a different Premium plan.
  • Account/data deletion: Upon cancellation the account reverts to a free Basic account; profile, connections, and data are retained. Access to paid Learning content ends at the billing cycle's close. No dedicated self-serve data-deletion page was found on the Learning help site; account closure/data deletion would go through LinkedIn's standard privacy controls.

Scope & fairness

This is the Documented-Policy tier: it measures how clearly the cancellation policy is published (cited, dated facts), not the behavioural experience of cancelling (Verified-Flow audit pending). Every company is scored on the same five dimensions with the same published weights — scores cannot be bought or removed. It is opinion grounded in disclosed facts, and not legal advice.
